The soldiers of the Southern Confederacy from Fayette County, Alabama, are honored in memory of the dead and in honor of the living, with their principles of right presented as a sacred heritage to bequeath to future generations and their service remembered as a lesson in sacrifice and loyalty. Their glory is declared undimmed by time. It was dedicated by Lucy Belle Robertson to the memory of her beloved husband Felix McConnell Robertson, and associated with the Fayette Chapter U.D.C.
