History
The Chinese Mining Camp Archaeological Site is an archaeological site near Warren in Idaho County, Idaho, about a mile northwest of town and accessible by trail from the north end of Warren’s airstrip. Covering roughly 2,500 square meters, or 0.62 acres, it has been characterized as a cultural island. Archaeological investigation there took place from 1989 to 1992, and the site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. Its significance lies in the preserved evidence of a Chinese mining camp in this part of Idaho.
