The Operations Building of the Marconi-RCA Wireless Station was built in 1914 for the Marconi Wireless Telegraph Company of America. It operated with distinction as Coastal Marine Station WCC, Chatham Radio, from 1921 to 1997. In 1994, this building and the entire site were placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior.
