This memorial is a tribute of love to the memory of those who must not be forgotten, honoring service in World War I and World War II, including the Army and the Navy, and offering the prayer, “Eternal rest grant unto them oh Lord and let light shine upon them,” erected by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the citizens of Cannon County.
