Founded in 1998 by Lloyd and Doris Anderson, 7 Wonders Museum is a small creationist museum, ministry, and bookstore focused on Mount St. Helens and its landscape as evidence for young Earth creationism. It began as a two-room museum and was named for seven nearby land features the founders believed changed within only a few years. After the Andersons retired in October 2014, Paul and Geraldine Taylor took over, the institution was renamed, and in 2017 it moved from Silver Lake to Castle Rock. Its interpretation has drawn sustained criticism from the scientific community, yet it remains an active stop for visitors seeking a religious understanding of the volcano.
