In 1993, nonprofit leaders Jean Sloan of Child Care Action Council and Kathy Jordan of Olympia Early Learning Center led efforts to transform Olympia's 1912 City Hall/Fire Station into a resource center for families. Their leadership inspired volunteers, and their work continued on behalf of local children and families.
