Bellenden S. Hutcheson, M.D., served in the Canadian Medical Corps and received the British Victoria Cross for conspicuous gallantry of the highest order in the presence of the enemy during action on September 2, 1918, along the Drocourt Queant Line in France during World War I. He was a resident of Mt. Carmel, IL, and was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, IL.
