Beck's Reformed Church was organized in 1787 under the leadership of the Rev. Mr. Schneider. Its first house of worship was a log structure located nearby. On Nov. 5, 1787, 53 acres of land were given by Dr. John Billings, L. Smith, and others to the trustees of the Lutheran and Reformed congregations, which worshipped together as a union church until 1878. In 1878 a large frame church was built some 200 yds. north and was used until the present brick church, some 300 yds. south, was dedicated on July 22, 1951. Since its organization, 36 ministers have labored in the Beck's Reformed congregation; at the time given here, the pastor was Rev. Horace Sills, and later the present pastor was the Rev. Wade H. Curran, Jr.
