Bicentennial Park's American Revolution Bicentennial and Avenue of Flags honored deceased veterans from the Spanish American War, Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Viet Nam War, Desert Storm, and Iraqi Freedom, listing by name the men and women remembered there; the project included the Avenue of Flags in 1982, was erected in 1983, and included plaques donated by American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 70 with leadership identified for the Avenue of Flags and the Troy City Commission.
