Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden is a 0.66-acre public garden in Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach, California, devoted primarily to plants native to California. First envisioned in 1992, it began construction in 1994, became a nonprofit organization in 1997, and officially opened on Earth Day in 2001. Its small scale and emphasis on native planting make it both a community-oriented green space and an educational garden within one of the city’s main public parks.
