THE STORY

Between 1250-1600 AD, a late prehistoric Native American village of the Monongahela Tradition occupied a site along the river terrace. Ralph Solecki discovered the site in 1950, and Dr. Don Dragoo of the Carnegie Museum excavated it in 1952.
