A re-union was held on 6th and 7th August 1904 under the management of Probate Judge Wm. R. White and Hon. Mack Pearce, with guest speakers Ex-rept. Wm. C. Davis of Hamilton, later Lieut. Gov. of Ala., Ex-Rept. Wm. W. Brandon of Tuscaloosa, later Governor of Ala., Miss. Lillie Pearce of Hamilton, and Captain J.P. (Jem) Pearce, commandant of the Marion County Unit Confederate Veterans. The Confederate veterans named with the Marion County unit were Barnes, James Sr.; Boyette, W.J.; Brown, W.A.; Britton, G.A.; Byrd, J.J.; Campbell, J.; Carnes, William R.; Cantrell, Huse; Carr, George; Clark, M.F.; Clay, William; Crane, M.L.; Davis, Sam R.; Dunn, John; Dunn, Robert E.; Emerson, M.L.; Falkner, W.W.; Felkins, B.; Flurry, R.D.; Franks, E.D.; Frederick, Gid; Gann, W.C.; Gaskin, R.G.; Gibbs, B.M.; Goggins, G.N.; Goggins, J.J.; Green, Perry N.; Hamilton, J.P.; Halcomb, W.I.; Harbin, J.L.; Harper, W.S.; Harris, Cable; Harris, M.; Henson, J.M.; Hightower, W.; Howe, E.N.; Hudson, Frank; Johnson, J.H.; Knight, Thomas; Lindsey, Thomas; Loyd, Isham J.; Mays, J.M.C.; McCarley, T.R.; McCracken, D.C.; McKenzie, K.F.; Middleton, William J.; Mills, Jim; Mills, R.S.; Nelson, A.B.; Nix, L.A.; Owens, John W.; Pearce, W.P.; Ralls, H.H.; Raney, J.P.; Riggs, H.K.; Robinson, George; Rogers, I.J.; Rye, A.H.; Rye, J.A.; Samford, D.S.; Shelton, Mack; Shotts, John Mack; and Simmons, J.T. The memorial was presented to the Marion County, Alabama Commissioners on 6th August 1977 by Judge James F. Shotts Senior, Colonel U.S.A.R. Retired 1952, with C.S. Boots Tidwell, chairman of District 3, Almon Dyer of District 1, Hugo Stone of District 2, Brady Baccus of District 4, Hugh Akers of District 5, and Miss Jackie Idella Moore, chief clerk.
