Part of this property was once the site of the Hotel Olive, built in 1889 and later destroyed by fire in 1930. In 1935, E.H. and Lida Mai Edwards built a service station here that continued serving the downtown area until Espey Oil Company donated the property to the Town of Huntingdon in 2008. Renovation of the Court Square Service Station property was funded by contributions from Wright Charitable Trust and completed by Town of Huntingdon employees, and the ceramic studio opened in November 2009 under the dream and supervision of Lori Neal Nolen, the town's Performing Arts Director.
