Meadow Hot Springs, in central Utah south of Fillmore near Meadow, is a small geothermal spring system known for vivid blue travertine pools in an open landscape. Three large soaking pools have natural rims and ledges formed by travertine deposits, and clear water rises from an underwater cave at about 106°F. The pools are more than 20 feet deep, creating both their striking color and a serious hazard. That danger has marked the site’s recent history: in 2019, a Utah man drowned after submerging in one pool, and the death was reported as one of four drownings there over a ten-year period.
