On September 22, 1938, Oliver Bucher, John L. Johnson, Walter Lubbinge, Archie R. Moir, Douglas J. Moore, Dolphie Paulson, Albert V. Stoeser, and Nelson P. Van Stone lost their lives in “The Slide” and were forever entombed in the dam.
