After the disastrous flood of 1964, a crossbreed steer floated downriver from Klamath Glen and up the coast into Crescent City Harbor, inspiring the flood victims of Klamath as he came to embody their courage, stamina, and indomitable spirit. He became a living memorial to the flood and passed peacefully on to greener pastures in 1983.
