Gable Mountain is a 9,262-foot summit in the Lewis Range of Glacier National Park in Montana, in the park’s northeastern section about 3 miles southwest of Chief Mountain. Part of the mountainous backbone of Glacier National Park, it rises within one of the northern Rockies’ most dramatic landscapes. Its location near the more prominent Chief Mountain places it in a notably scenic area marked by isolated peaks and broad alpine terrain that shape the horizon.
