Hyde County dedicated this service roll in honor of those who served in the World War, naming those who were killed or died in service, those who were wounded or gassed, an Army nurse, Y.M.C.A. workers, and many others who served their country, and closing with the remembrance, "Lest we forget that sacrifices made by these men that liberty and equality might not perish from the earth."
