Potts Tavern was a historic stage coach tavern erected by Kirkbride Potts with slave labor. It served as a station on the Butterfield-Overland Mail and operated as a tavern both before and after the existence of the Butterfield-Overland Mail contract. Since its erection, it has continuously been the home of the Potts family.
