Part of the Valley of Jehosaphat, now Dulaney Valley, this land was patented August 10, 1684. Walter Dulaney acquired half in 1747 and the remainder in 1767. His lands were confiscated and sold at the end of the Revolutionary War. Thomas Marsh obtained “The Eagle’s Nest” portion in 1788, and it remained in his family until 1964.
