Quarry Falls is a small waterfall, sometimes more like a large rapid in high water, along U.S. Route 64 west of Highlands in Macon County, North Carolina. It is especially known for the large, deep pool at its base, which has made it a popular warm-weather swimming spot. Locally, it is also known as Bust-Your-Butt Falls or Mud-Butt Falls, reflecting its informal, roadside character as a place to scramble, splash, and cool off. It stands within a western North Carolina corridor noted for other nearby waterfalls, including Dry Falls, Cullasaja Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls.
