Built in 1858, this is the only ante-bellum building remaining on the square. It originally housed a branch of the Farmer's Bank and was the scene of the first daylight robbery in 1866, supposedly by the James-Younger gang. Jack Wymore restored it to its original appearance. In 1993, the property, built in 1858, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of Interior.
