Residence Plantation is a Queen Anne Revival style house built in 1898 by Roberta Volumnia Barrow Slatter. It was constructed using materials from a house built on the same site in 1854 by her parents, noted Louisiana planter Robert Ruffin Barrow and Volumnia Hunley Barrow, sister of famed Confederate submariner Captain H.L. Hunley.
