Mount Kato is a winter sports facility in the Mankato area of southern Minnesota, just south of Skyline, that serves as a local hub for outdoor recreation. Known mainly for skiing, it also offers snowboarding and snow tubing in winter, with mountain biking during warmer months. The resort includes 19 trails across 55 acres with a vertical drop of 240 feet. Although modest in size by mountain-resort standards, it brings downhill winter sports to a region more associated with rolling terrain than high peaks.
