Stacye Ann Marlin Morgan survived the famous Morgan Massacre and was the daughter of settler James Marlin. In Falls County on Jan., 1, 1839, Indians killed and scalped several members of the Morgan and Marlin families. Her ten-year-old brother Isaac Marlin ran seven miles for help, and Stacye Ann was severely wounded and left for dead, but she recovered, married William J. Morgan, and raised a large family before dying in Waller County.
