Beechdale Bridge, also called the Burkholder Bridge, is a historic covered bridge in Brothersvalley Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, southwest of Berlin. Carrying Township Route 548 over Buffalo Creek, it is one of the county’s few surviving covered bridges. Built in 1870 by an unknown builder, it uses the Burr truss, a design widely employed for Pennsylvania covered bridges. Its most distinctive characteristic is its unusually low sidewalls, which leave much of the bridge open to view and distinguish it from more enclosed structures. Owned by the county, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
