Morris State Park is a 161-acre public recreation area in Dunklin County, Missouri, preserving part of Crowley’s Ridge, the unusual geologic formation that rises through parts of southeast Missouri and northeast Arkansas. Created from land donated to the state in 1999 by businessman Jim D. Morris, for whom it is named, the park is centered on protecting this distinctive landscape. Its main feature is a two-mile hiking trail along the ridge, and its importance lies more in conserving the area’s natural geology than in offering extensive developed facilities.
