Janet's Archeological Site
History
Janet's Archeological Site in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, is a historic archaeological site tied to the eighteenth-century Smyrnea settlement associated with Doctor Andrew Turnbull. It forms part of the archaeological resources linked to that colonial-era community and stands as one of the documented surviving traces of the settlement. On July 10, 2008, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places as part of a broader multiple property submission covering the remaining archaeological remains of Smyrnea.
