Chotank Creek Natural Area Preserve is a 1,108-acre protected area in King George County, Virginia, along the Potomac River east of Caledon State Park, where Chotank Creek enters the river. Dedicated in 2001 through an agreement with its private landowner, it is part of the larger Cedar Grove farm, which is protected by a conservation easement. The preserve contains upland hardwood forests, marshlands, swamp forests, and brackish scrub. Its Potomac shoreline is notable for large gatherings of bald eagles, and several nests have been found there. Though privately owned and closed to public access, it is managed with guidance from the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation.
