Alfred Johnson and John B. Morin
Military
Alfred Johnson, U.S.N., and John B. Morin, U.S.M.C., were the first men from Attleboro to die in action during World War II. Johnson died on November 15, 1942, in the South Pacific area, and Morin died on December 15, 1942, on Guadalcanal Island. Their fellow citizens dedicated this tribute to their memory on November 7th, 1943.
