The Hendricks County Sheriff's Residence and Jail property was renovated in 1996 under Hendricks County Commissioners Harlan Carter, Martin Gregg, and John Robbins, with Brandt Construction Company and J.D. Clampitt, Hursel Disney, and Richard Myers serving as Hendricks County Commissioners, and the property has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior.
