The site of a trading post established in 1851 is associated with Peter Lassen. It was dedicated on October 26, 1930 by Plumas Pioneer Parlor No. 210, N.D.G.W. and Plumas Parlor No. 228, N.S.G.W. It is identified as Peter Lassen Marker Historical Landmark No. 184 in the State of California.
