David Edwards served in the 1st Regiment of Delong's Ohio Militia during the War of 1812 and lived from June 9, 1797, to August 16, 1872. Sanford Edwards served in Company C, 128th Ohio Infantry during the Civil War and lived from February 28, 1832, to October 19, 1874.
