El Adobe de Los Robles Ranchos, a restored adobe in the San Joaquin Valley, was built in 1856 by Daniel Rhoades, who came to California in 1846 by overland caravan. Rhoades and his brother John were among the organizers of the first expedition to rescue the Donner party at Donner Lake. The adobe, the second oldest in the San Joaquin Valley, has had continued occupancy since its construction.
