On January 5th, 2000 at 4:23 a.m., Shiloh Police Officer David Martin reported a floating object with 3 bright lights in the sky above Shiloh. Other witnesses said the UFO floated slowly and had no engine noise. Police officers from Lebanon, Shiloh, Millstadt, and Dupo also reported witnessing the UFO that morning. National Geographic TV later televised a special report on the UFO sighting over Shiloh, Illinois.
