The house at 214 E. Orchard Ave. stands on lot No. 6 and 29½ feet of lot No. 5 of the 1880 Wright Addition to Lebanon. The land was owned by Dr. Edward B. Wright, who sold the property in 1882 to Louisa and Lot Wright, no relation. Built around that year, the house is in the Floraville Historic District on a hill overlooking Lebanon. Lot and Louisa Wright met while attending college in Lebanon. Lot was wounded twice in the Civil War and served as clerk of courts, U.S. marshal, probate judge, and county treasurer. Louisa was Lebanon's first female superintendent of schools. During their ownership, the house was damaged by fire, and after Lot died there it was sold in 1902.
