Natchez State Park is a public recreation area in southwestern Mississippi near Natchez, centered on Natchez Lake. Known especially for boating and fishing, it also provides primitive and developed campsites, 10 cabins, a nature trail, equestrian roadways, picnic areas, and a 9-hole disc golf course. The park combines lake access with overnight and day-use facilities typical of a regional outdoor destination. Natchez Lake also holds a place in Mississippi fishing history because the state-record largemouth bass, weighing 18.15 pounds, was caught there in 1992, helping build the lake’s reputation among anglers while the park continued to serve general recreation needs.
