Piper Aviation Museum at William T. Piper Memorial Airport in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, preserves the history of the Piper Aircraft Corporation in a place long tied to the company’s manufacturing past. The museum effort began in 1984 after Piper closed its Lock Haven factory, first taking shape as a mobile display and later moving in 1996 into the former Piper Aircraft engineering building. Its exhibits connect local memory with aviation history, including displays on styling chief Dick Clark and a PA-38 flight simulator. The collection also includes The City of Angels, a PA-12 notable as one of the first two light aircraft to circumnavigate the globe.
