Brier Knob
Nature
Brier Knob is a 4,085-foot mountain in the Linville community of North Carolina’s High Country, lying entirely within Pisgah National Forest. Streams descending from its slopes feed directly into the Linville River, and the mountain is considered the northern limit of Linville. NC 105 runs along its eastern side and West Fork Road along its western side. Unlike some nearby summits, Brier Knob remains undeveloped at its top, preserving its natural character within the forested landscape.
