Large Plow
Industry
2
The large plow was pulled by two horses and allowed one person to ride instead of walking behind it. The operator could set the depth of the cut by adjusting the levers. It was a one-way plow, and the next advancement was the two-way plow, which allowed plowing in both directions while still rolling dirt the same way, doubling the acreage that could be plowed. This plow came from the Terry Ranch on the Beaver Dam Wash and was donated by the family of Edward Sirls Terry, son of Thomas Sirls and Hannah Terry.
