In 1848, the Methodist Church, Sons of Temperance, and Polk Masons Lodge jointly bought this lot and began a two-story brick building. Construction was by Anthony Gholson of Columbia, Tennessee, with 18-inch double brick walls and three individual entrances. An inscription stated, "The rich and the poor meet together. The Lord is Master of them all." The building was spared when Jayhawkers burned the square near the end of the Civil War because the group's leader was a Mason. The Sons of Temperance and Polk Lodge folded and were replaced by Centerville Lodge 618. The Methodist Church moved out in 1923, and the lower floor became the Centerville Fire Department and later Shipp Studio, Linda's Beauty Shop, and Hickman County Chamber of Commerce. Centerville Lodge sold the building in 2015, and Missy's Florist and Move Makers Dance Studio occupied the building after its renovation.
