Krell Hill, often called Tower Mountain, rises at the southern end of the Selkirk Mountains near Spokane and forms a dramatic boundary between the city, Spokane Valley, and the open country beyond. Rather than a single isolated summit, it is notable for how strongly it dominates the surrounding landscape, standing well above both the valley floor and nearby parts of Spokane. Its ridge connects northward into the Dishman Hills and eastward toward higher mountain terrain. The hill is widely recognized for the television and radio towers along its crest, and it also anchors nearby neighborhoods, conservation land, the Rocks of Sharon, and recreation trails.
