Kerrville-Schreiner Park on the Guadalupe River in Kerrville, Texas, began as Kerrville State Park after the city donated 517 acres to the State Parks Board in 1934. Civilian Conservation Corps Company 1823CV developed the park from January 1935 to May 1937, building roads, culverts, entrance portals, and service buildings that established its planned parkland character. Renamed Kerrville-Schreiner State Park in 1990, the property was transferred back to the City of Kerrville in 2004. Today it remains a public riverside park, notable both as a surviving example of CCC-era park development in Texas and as wildlife habitat, including a certified monarch waystation butterfly garden.
