William G. Milliken State Park and Harbor is a 31-acre public recreation area on the Detroit River that blends an urban marina with trails, shoreline access, restored wetlands, and picnic spaces along Detroit's International Riverfront. Created from the former St. Aubin Park and Marina and a reclaimed brownfield, it opened in 2004 as Tri-Centennial State Park, Michigan's first urban state park, before being renamed in 2009 for Governor William G. Milliken. Its development added a lighthouse, expanded onto nearby post-industrial land, and linked the site to the Dequindre Cut. The park's wetland restoration is especially significant because most of the river's original wetlands had been lost to development.
