Yahoo Falls is a 113-foot waterfall in Marshes Siding in southeastern Kentucky within the Daniel Boone National Forest, where it drops into a gorge and stands among the taller waterfalls in the state. The surrounding forest became federal forestland in 1937, and in the 1960s forest supervisor Robert Collins developed the Yahoo Falls Recreation Area with an all-weather road, picnic area, primitive camping, trails, and steel stairs to improve access. The site is valued for its scenic landscape, including mountain laurel, rhododendron, threatened and endangered plants, and nearby Yahoo Arch, and it is also tied to local legend and possible Muscogee-rooted place naming.
