Men of the Lake Whitewood Congregation offered their lives in defense of humanity during the Great World War of 1914-1918, serving in the United States Navy and in overseas and domestic service, and veterans from Lake Whitewood Lutheran Church also served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
