The Bristol Hill Congregational United Church of Christ was founded in 1812 and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the US Department of the Interior in 2001. African American and European American members built this church in the 1830s with donations of lumber, labor, grain, and money. They also worked as abolitionists to rid this great country of “the sin of slavery.”
