Day Covered Bridge
Transportation
Day Covered Bridge in Morris Township, Pennsylvania, is a small historic covered road bridge built in the Queen post truss style. Measuring 12 feet by 36.5 feet, it rests on three stone-and-mortar abutments and features vertical plank siding on its sides and portals beneath a sheet-metal gable roof. A 2003 renovation added steel support beams and replaced the roof, flooring, and sidewalls, preserving the bridge while allowing it to remain in use. Its historic importance has been recognized by the Washington County History & Landmarks Foundation.
