Spanish Moss Trail is a multi-use rail trail in northern Beaufort County, South Carolina, following the former Port Royal Railroad right-of-way from Seabrook south to Port Royal through Burton and Beaufort. Partly completed at about ten miles, it creates a north-south route on Beaufort-Jasper Water and Sewer Authority land and forms part of the East Coast Greenway. Construction began in 2012, with the first segment opening later that year. Planned to reach 14.9 miles, with a possible 10.1-mile extension to Yemassee, it reuses a historic transportation corridor for walking and cycling and has become a notable recreational route in the Beaufort area.
