Devils Island Wildlife Management Area is a 2,741-acre tract of semi-protected Mississippi River bottomland in southern Illinois that extends across parts of Alexander and Union counties. Rather than a state park, it is managed specifically as a wildlife management area. Its landscape combines bottomland hardwood forest with agricultural fields, reflecting the character of the river lowlands. The area is open to the public for hunting, and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources carries out ongoing habitat management there. Devils Island is administered together with the nearby Union County State Fish and Wildlife Area from a full-time IDNR office in Jonesboro.
